Mindray BeneView T5 Patient Monitor Common Faults & Maintenance Recommendations
1. Power & Boot Failure
Phenomena
- No power indicator, completely black screen and no response
- AC indicator on, but no reaction after pressing the power button
- Indicator flashes briefly then shuts down immediately with power protection triggered
Common Causes
- Damaged power adapter, power cord or poor socket contact; blown internal fuse
- Power board failure: rectifier bridge, filter capacitor, switching tube damage or short circuit
- Aging, bulging or shorted battery, causing voltage drop and power protection
- Loose power-on cable, faulty key board or mainboard power supply chip damage
- Short circuit of external modules triggering over-current protection
Maintenance Suggestions
- Replace the original AC adapter and power socket to confirm normal AC 220V input.
- Remove the battery and operate with AC power only; if it boots normally, replace the defective battery.
- Disassemble the device to inspect the power board; check the fuse, rectifier components and rear-stage DC-DC circuit.
- Reconnect the power-on and key board cables; replace the key board if there is no trigger signal.
- Disconnect all external functional modules for startup test to locate short-circuited modules.
- Replace or repair the mainboard if power supply circuits are abnormal.
2. Display Abnormalities
Phenomena
- Black/white screen with normal system sound and alarm prompt
- Dim backlight, blurred display content
- Screen distortion, vertical lines, flickering or unresponsive touch screen
Common Causes
- Damaged backlight driver board, aging LED backlight components
- Loose, oxidized or broken screen flexible flat cable
- LCD screen physical damage
- Mainboard display drive circuit failure
Maintenance Suggestions
- Use a flashlight to check screen content; visible content with no backlight means backlight assembly failure.
- Reinsert the screen cable, clean gold fingers with anhydrous alcohol and fasten the buckle.
- Measure backlight voltage; replace the backlight board if power supply is normal with no backlight output.
- Replace the LCD screen for screen distortion and touch failure; inspect mainboard display circuit if the fault remains.
3. NIBP Blood Pressure Malfunction
Phenomena
- Slow inflation, inflation failure or over-pressure protection alarm
- Automatic measurement failure with no pressure value displayed
- Severe air leakage and inability to maintain pressure
Common Causes
- Aging cuff, damaged air hose or loose quick connector air leakage
- Worn air pump with insufficient output pressure
- Stuck or leaking solenoid valve (pressure maintaining & exhaust valve)
- Zero drift or damage of pressure sensor
- Abnormal NIBP module circuit
Maintenance Suggestions
- Replace the standard cuff and connecting air pipe; inspect air tightness of connectors.
- Check internal air pipes for aging and cracking; replace aging hoses and fasten interfaces.
- Test air pump operating sound and inflation efficiency; replace the air pump with weak pressure.
- Detect solenoid valve actuation; replace faulty exhaust and pressure control valves.
- Enter engineering mode for NIBP zero calibration; replace the pressure sensor if calibration fails.
- Repair or replace the NIBP integrated module for persistent measurement failure.
4. ECG Abnormality
Phenomena
- No ECG waveform, continuous lead off alarm
- Severe waveform interference, baseline drift and jitter
- Unstable heart rate detection and inaccurate value
